SUNY Orange CLEP In-Person Testing Sign-Up Page

Testing will be held at our Middletown Campus only. Testing is open to SUNY Orange students and the public.

Testers not affiliated with SUNY Orange will be required to pay a $25 assessment fee. Payment can be made in person in Student Services Central on the day of the test. There is no charge for SUNY Orange students.

SUNY Orange does not accept every CLEP test for transfer. A list of accepted CLEP tests can be found here. Please check with your advisor before testing.

Note - students with disabilities who require testing accommodations must contact the Office of Accessibility Services PRIOR to signing up for a CLEP test.

Before signing up for a test date, you must register and pay for the CLEP exam on the CollegeBoard website. On the day of your test, you MUST bring your CLEP Registration Ticket (from CollegeBoard) and a valid, government-issued photo ID with a signature (driver's license, passport, military ID, etc.). You will not be permitted to test without BOTH of these items.

Note - SUNY Orange does not accept the College Composition test. Students interested in this test should take College Composition Modular.

American Literature, Analyzing and Interpreting Literature, and English Literature tests include two essays; 90 minutes. College Composition Modular test includes two essays; 70 minutes.

*SUNY Orange does not accept the College Composition test. Please register for the College Composition Modular test instead.
